I had that feeling too, until one time in a 747-400 on touchdown, like at 15ft above the runway, got hit with hard cross wind and it yawed the plane like 20 degrees, you could feel the movement from the cabin. You had enough time to think "uh oh" before the wheels touched down. At that point, all fucking hell broke loose, we started bouncing off the runway up and down, and side to side. after the fourth or fifth bounce the pilot throttled up and we did a TOGO (take off go around). Shit was coming out of the seat pockets, peoples laps, overhead bins came open, and all that shit fell out too. It was a mess. Lots of bumps and bruises.
