New report says coronavirus pandemic could last for two years – and may not subside until 70% of the population has immunity

If you aren't fit already this is the best motivation you’re ever going to get to start. Studies show that being fit helps build a stronger immune system. It doesn't prevent you from never getting sick, a high enough viral load will take out even the fittest people, but it does improve your chances of not getting it or of having less severe symptoms. You'll also generally feel great! Note that there are also some studies that if you aren't active at all, you need to start at a moderate pace to prevent transient negative effects on the immune system.
