Australia could get 90% of electricity from renewables by 2040 with no price increase

There have been in Western Australia where the utilities are state-owned, though WA still has high costs due to the previous regulatory structure which locked in grid connection (costing up to $240,000/customer in some locations).

That's being rectified, renewables are being increased, community battery banks being trialled, and the savings passed on to customers.

The other states have privatised their electricity.
