China for the past few decades has been doing this same kinda shit and largely been ignored. The Middle East has been a major distraction from them for most of the 21st century so far.
Now Hong Kong Protests, their concentration camps and the Corvid virus has the entire world staring at them with a microscope and they're desperate for everyone to stop looking at them.
China talks a strong game, but if they every became warmongers, they would lose and not to the USA. India has just as many people, hates the fuck outta China cause they ideologically opposed and many fronts (for example India is very religious, China is literally torturing religion out of people). The biggest difference is China might have a big military, but they've been doing NOTHING. They do training exercises, but Indias military has been in a constant state of warfare for the last 7 decades. Unlike the USA, they're RIGHT NEXT DOOR to China.
China's entire modus operandi is economic dominance, doing shit behind the scenes, and projecting an aura of strength. Apart from the nukes, on a warfare front they would be fucked and they know it. So they REALLY want the world to stop looking at them, otherwise they can't keep undermining the rest of asia and africa
